Lt.Col.Edward V. Johnson, USAF Ret. died on February 4th, 2006 at the age of 74. He was born in New Haven, Connecticut January 2, 1932. After graduating from Williston Academy, Hobart College and achieving a Masters Degree from Boston University School of Communications. Mr. Johnson joined the Air Force and served as a Public Relations Officer. He retired in San Antonio, Texas after 22 years in the service and continued to pursue public relations and became an avid sailor. He served as President of Easter Seal Rehabilitation Center, President of the Alamo Heights Optimist Club, Commodore of the Lake Canyon Yacht Club, and was currently chair of the Youth Sailing Foundation. Edward is survived by his wife Yvonne of 51 years, daughters, Elizabeth, Beryl and Jennifer; sons, Christopher and William, and grandchildren, Ian Johnson, Noah, Nathaniel and Emma Johnson, Charles Johnson, and Alex and Larsen Zambrano, and his sister, Karen Whyte of Ottawa, Canada and her daughter, Lise Van Stolk.
