

Edwin Anderson "Ted" Walker passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 30, 2018, following a lifelong struggle with diabetes. Ted was born in San Antonio, April 11, 1956 and he is predeceased by his parents, Charles Ganahl and Sarah (Sally) Cheney Walker, Jr. He is survived by his children, Sara Walker Herff and her husband, August F. "Cody" Herff IV; grandson, August F. "Augie" Herff V; and son, Edwin Anderson Walker, Jr.; former wife, Peggy W. Walker; brother, Charles G. "Chuck" Walker III and his wife, Marilyn; sister, Lisa Walker and her husband, Mark Paulson; and nieces and nephews and their families, Charles G. "Charlie" Walker IV, Clifton "Cliff" Turner, Courtney Turner Forte and Melissa Turner Fortenberry.
He attended San Antonio Academy, Texas Military Institute, Colorado State University and was graduated from the University of Texas-Austin in 1978.
He was a proud member of Sigma Alpha Epsilon Fraternity and most recently worked as an advisor to the new chapter at UTSA. Ted was a member of the San Antonio German Club and the Sons of Confederate Veterans.
He loved the land and spent much of his time at his ranch near Center Point where his ancestors set down roots in the mid 1800's. His Walker, de Ganahl, Steves, and Vaughan family legacy was important to him as he was a passionate family historian.
