Eileen Upshaw, age 71 passed away December 7, 2020 in San Antonio, TX. She was born in San Antonio, TX on November 29, 1949. She was a long time member of Somerset Baptist Church and Live The Life Church in San Antonio. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, and friend who will be dearly missed.
Mrs. Upshaw was preceded in death by her parents Jesse Frederick & Sylvia Lorraine Jackson, brothers Donald Loyd, Marvin Royce, and Jack Beverly.
She is survived by her husband, Randy Upshaw; daughter, Shannon Sport and husband Shawn Sport, grandchildren Justin Allen Upshaw-Mendoza, Kristin Upshaw-Mendoza and Lauren Sport . Great grandchildren Kamila Upshaw-Mendoza. Brothers John Frederick Jackson and wife Sue Jackson, Jesse Wayne Jackson and wife Donna Jackson, Tommy Gene Jackson and wife Janette Jackson. Sister in law Sharon Curbow and husband John Curbow. Numerous nieces and nephews, cousins, and longtime friends and classmates.
Eileen was loved by so many and loved her family and friends deeply. She was a devoted and faithful Christian, who loved her God. She was a pillar of strength and courage all while smiling and with the greatest heart.
The Visitation will be 5-8 p.m., Thursday, December 17, 2020 at Sunset Funeral Home. The Funeral Service will be 12 noon, Friday, December 18, 2020 at Sunset Funeral Home Chapel. The Graveside Service will be at 2 p.m., Friday, December 18, 2020 at the Bexar Cemetery, Somerset, TX.
