

Eladio Larry Gonzales, was born November 24th, 1926, and passed away March 26th, 2015 at the age of 88. He was preceded in death by his wife, Lola Carney Gonzales. He was one of 7 children of Lalo and Herlinda Gonzales. He is survived by his five children, Larry, Gilbert, Steven, Donald and Peggy. He also had 13 Grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. He proudly served his country for 2 years before settling down to a family and worked at Kelly Field as an aircraft mechanic for over 30 years. He shared with his children and grandchildren his love of hunting, fishing and mechanical tinkering. Any holiday was an excuse to barbeque and have large family bashes with uncles, aunts, cousins and friends. He and Lola held annual open house Christmas parties at their home and Easter barbeques at Brackenridge for the entire family. All his children's friends were always welcome at Mr. and Mrs. G's home. He encouraged his kids to be active in scouts and enjoy the outdoors. He will be missed by many. A visitation will be held on Sunday, April 5, 2015 from 5:00 p.m to 9:00 p.m. at Trevino Funeral Home, 226 Cupples Road, with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. that same evening. A funeral procession will depart the funeral home at 12:30 p.m. for a 1:00 p.m. mass of the resurrection at St. John Berchmans' Catholic Church. Interment to follow at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery.
