Elena Tharp

Born on May 31, 1952, to Carlos Rendon and Fannie Alarcon Rendon, Elena grew up with strong family values and an unwavering work ethic. She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother Mario Rendon, and her sister Lucia Dulak.

Elena is survived by her loving husband, Allen Tharp; her son, Tim Clepper; her daughter, Missie Clepper; her brothers, Francisco Rendon and Jose Rendon; and many extended family members, friends, and colleagues whose lives she touched.

A college graduate, Elena dedicated many years to the accounting field, where her precision, integrity, and commitment shone brightly. She worked side by side with her husband to build and manage their family’s many successful ventures, serving as CFO for Allen Tharp LLC, The Lion and Rose, Golden Chick, Bruno LLC, Apollo Contract Services, and GCSA Properties. Her leadership, insight, and dedication were instrumental in their growth and success.

Elena had a deep love for traveling the globe, always eager to explore new places and cultures. She cherished her pets, found joy in her work, and treasured every moment spent with family.

She will be remembered for her beautiful smile, positive attitude, kindness toward others, and remarkable courage. Even in the face of challenges, Elena never complained—always finding the silver lining in every cloud. Her boundless energy, warmth, and generosity will continue to inspire all who knew her.

A visitation for Elena will be held Saturday, August 23, 2025 from 8:00 AM to 8:30 AM at Sunset North Funeral Home, 910 North Loop 1604 East, San Antonio, TX 78232. A funeral service will occur Saturday, August 23, 2025 from 8:30 AM to 9:30 AM, 910 North Loop 1604 East, San Antonio, TX 78232. A graveside service will occur Saturday, August 23, 2025 from 10:00 AM to 10:30 AM at Mission Park Funeral Chapels and Cemetery Dominion, 20900 I-10, San Antonio, TX 78257.
