Laura Eloise Warren Middleton passed away December 11, 2001. She was born in San Antonio on December 23, 1912 to Sue McClain Warren and Edward Frederick Warren. Eloise attended Main Avenue High School and the University of Texas, where she was a member of Kappa Alpha Theta. She married L.D. Middleton, Jr. in San Antonio on September 30, 1933. Eloise was a 50-year member of the First Presbyterian Church, the Battle of Flowers Association, The Perennial Garden Club and San Antonio Country Club. She was preceded in death by her husband, L.D. Middleton, Jr., her sister Nell Greer and husband, Tom Greer. Eloise is survived by her daughter, Carolyn Middleton Allison and husband, Arthur P. Allison, Jr.; son, Fred W. Middleton and wife, Barbara; daughter, Sally Middleton Beckwith; grandchildren, Laura Allison Kanter and husband, Larry, Marian Allison, Fred Allison, Elizabeth Middleton Hart and husband, Tom, Margaret Middleton, Amy Beckwith McLaughlin and husband, David, Kristi Beckwith Lucas and husband, Jim; and six great grandchildren. The family wishes to express their appreciation to Eloise's caregivers, Loretta Ellerbee, Judi Luis, Sylvia Del Toro, Rosie Luis and Carmen Mireles.
