Emma Louise Flores (Barajas) passed away peacefully at home on January 28, 2026, in San Antonio, TX, surrounded by her family. Born June 25, 1946, to Rudolph C. Barajas Sr. and Alice W. Barajas in San Antonio, Texas. She was lovingly called “Sister” by her immediate family.
Emma worked 25 years for Handy Andy Grocery stores before moving on to work with Neuman Distributing and then with Martin Preferred Foods. She spent all of her working years in the food service industry.
Emma is survived by her husband, Hector M. Flores Sr, her daughter Monica A. Rendon, her grandchildren, Alex (Paige) and Erica, step-grandchildren Joshua Flores, Valentina, and Hector L. Flores. Stepdaughters Ann Flores, Cynthia Flores (Joseph), Stepson Hector M. Flores Jr (Melina). Brothers Roger L. Barajas (Diana), Rudolph C. Barajas Jr, Sister Yvonne Podufaly (Christopher), Rene Barajas and several nieces and nephews. Emma is preceded in death by her loving son, Jeffrey Rodriguez, and her parents, Rudolph C. Barajas Sr and Alice W. Barajas.
