It looks as though Ephraim was a heck of a man and it's too bad there aren't more men like him to set examples for today's youth. My thoughts and prayers are with your entire family.

To the Hansell family: It was my priviledge to serve with Colonel Hansell in the army reserve during the late 1960s and early 1970s. He was my immediate supervisor in the Civil Affairs unit at Dodd Field and I would later see him from time to time after I lost contact with him in the reserves. He was one of the kindest "gentlemen" it has been my pleasure to know, in the pure sense of the word -that is he was a "gentle man". I am only sorry that I was not able to visit with him in recent years. My sympathies are with all of you.

We are so sorry for the loss of your father and that we were unable to attend the funeral service. I was traveling and did not return to Dallas until this afternoon and Maria was unable to get away from her class. When you return to Frisco we will get together as soon as you are available. In the meantime please know that we share your sorrow and if we can do anything to ease your pain please let us know. Since we have both lost parents we know how you feel and what you are going through. Nothing we can say will ease your pain, but you need to know that as time goes on your pain will lessen and you will always have your happy memories. Love Ed and Maria

We remember Ephraim's willingness to share, such as the time a College Choir group was visiting our church and he and his wife opened their home to feed and provide a place to sleep to several young men. We also remember his thoughtfulness as he initiated the plan to buy Pastor Kevin a bike for his birthday and then generously gave toward it's purchase. We appreciate all the opportunities to chat on the phone or in person as we got better acquainted. He will be missed.
