Ernest G. Perales

Ernest was a World War II Veteran and proudly served his country as a Corporal in the US Army. He retired from Kelly AFB after 34 years of Civil Service as a Quality Control Inspector.

Ernest was a member of Knights of Columbus, a lifetime member of St. Vincent De Paul, Guadalupanas, Festival Committee at Our Lady of Good Counsel O.L.G.C., Madonna Center, Padrinos of San Fernando Cathedral, Padrinos of San Antonio Library, and one of the organizers at the beginning stages for C.O.P.S. at O.L.G.C.

He was a man of many talents who loved woodwork and fishing. Ernest was a great teacher and always quick with a smile. He enjoyed the beauty of nature.

Ernest was preceded in death by his first wife, Maria Trinidad Quiroz and brothers, Enrique, Reymundo, Teodoro and Richard.

He is survived by his wife, Paula Silva Perales; daughters, Maria de la Luz Perales Uribe and husband, Margarito J. Uribe and Mary Ann Perales Reyes, Ph.D. and husband, Leonel Reyes Jr., M.D.; son, Ernesto M. Perales and wife, Nora L. Perales; brother, Seraphine Peralez; 19 grandchildren; and 12 great grandchildren.

Pallbearers are: Gonzalo Cardenas, Margarito Uribe, Leonel Reyes, Jr., M.D., Ernesto C. Leal, Juan Medrano and Rudy Cardenas.

Mr. Perales will have a Rosary Sunday evening, September 10th at 7 o'clock at Porter Loring.
