Estella Ortiz

Estella Ortiz peacefully departed from this life to be with our Lord on October 7, 2023. Her passing leaves a void that can only be filled with memories of a life well lived and the love she shared with family and friends. She was born on June 23, 1941, in Poteet, Texas to Abelino Carrasco and Sara B. Carrasco.

Preceding her in this journey were her parents Abelino Carrasco Sr. and Sara B. Carrasco, along with her siblings Geronimo, Abelino Jr., Francisca, Pedro, Juan, Benito, Eliseo, David.

She is survived by her brothers and sister, Abel Carrasco (Irene), Joe Carrasco and Lydia Rodriguez (Antonio); her children Alfredo Ortiz (Martha), Velma Corona (Edward) and Jessica Ortiz. She was blessed with 7 grandchildren Stephanie, Joshua, Mia, Jacob, Sophia, Nicoli, Eli and 7 great grandchildren Mason, Maddox, Monroe, Xayver, Isabella, Jaxson and Oliver. She had many nieces, nephews, cousins as well as extended family and friends.

Estella discovered happiness in nourishing her life, by working in her garden and enjoyed celebrating every occasion with her family and friends and will be greatly missed.

She devoted her life to her family, leaving behind a legacy of warmth and compassion.

A rosary service for Estella will be held Friday, October 20, 2023 at 10:00 AM at Our Lady Queen of Heaven Catholic Church, 11150 MacDona Lacoste, Atascosa, TX 78002 with a mass at 11:00 AM, interment to follow at Our Lady of Queen of Heaven Catholic Cemetery.
