Ester M. Ruiz, born on May 15, 1940 in San Antonio, TX was called to be with our Lord on July 4, 2017 at the age of 77. She is preceded in death by her first husband, Adolfo Ruiz; second husband, Joe L. Contreras. She is survived by her sons, Adlofo Ruiz Jr. (Alicia), Albert Ruiz (Sammie), Johnny Ruiz (Herlinda) and Leonard Ruiz (Yesenia); daughters, Diana Gonzales (Arturo), Mary Esther Hernandez (Martin) and Sandra R. Gonzales (David); Partner, Pedro Zamora; brothers and sisters, Antonio Martinez (Olga), Rosa Garcia, Virginia Martinez, Jose Martinez (Louise), Alfredo Martinez (Estella) and Abel Martinez (Yolanda); 22 grandchildren and 34 great grandchildren. The Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Thursday, July 13, 2017 at Trevino Funeral Home, 226 Cupples Rd. with a Rosary at 7:00 p.m. The Procession will depart from the funeral home on Friday, July 14, 2017 at 9:15 a.m. for a 10:00 a.m. Mass of the Resurrection at St. James the Apostle Catholic Church. Interment will follow in Chapel Hill Memorial Park.
