Eudilia "Julie" Garza

Eudilia (Julie) G. Garza, born to Francisco de la Garza and Candelaria Castellanos on December 10, 1919 in Montemorelos, Mexico, went to be with the Lord on February 18, 2012 at the age of 92. Julie graduated from Lanier High School and retired from Kelly AFB along with her husband Joe Hector Garza. Living on several ranches in Helotes, Pipe Creek and South Texas in their 53 year marriage, Julie always found time for her passion of hunting and bowling. Living in South Texas for 37 years in San Manuel, Texas, Edinburg, Texas and a retirement center in Harlingen, Texas they relocated back to San Antonio in July 2011 to be close to family. Being the second of seven sisters, she is preceded in death by Alice Morales, Hortencia Herrera, Maria Estella de la Garza, Emma Muniz, Yolanda de la Garza and her only daughter Rose Imschweiler. She is survived by her husband, Joe Hector Garza, two granddaughters, Donna Frixione and Eduardo Gonzalez of Dallas, Texas, Claudia and Jeffrey Reynolds of Dallas, Texas, and one sister Melida Gonzalez of San Antonio, Texas and many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held On Friday, February 24, 2012 at the Sunset Northwest Funeral Home at 6321 Bandera Road, San Antonio, Texas 78238 from 5pm – 8pm.
