Evelyn C. Hiatt

Evelyn C. Hiatt, age 85, died on Saturday, August 2, 2008. A member of Laurel Heights United Methodist Church, she participated in the United Methodist Women and the Super Adults. A former member of Travis Park United Methodist Church, Evelyn belonged to The Phoebe Circle of the United Methodist Women. She was a member of Delta Rho Delta Service Sorority. Evelyn's family, the Cadena family, was one of the earliest settlers of the Republic of Texas and present day Bexar County. Her family thanks the Staff of Chandler Estates and the staff of Vista Care Hospice for the kindness and care given to Evelyn. She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Art, and is survived by her daughters, Rev. Robin Hiatt-Reed and husband, Thomas of San Antonio and Karen H. Fritts and husband, Jeff of Highland Village, TX; grandchildren, Andrew Reed, Benjamin Reed and Abigail Reed, Allison Fritts, Lauren Fritts and Audrey Fritts; great-grandson, Terry Andrew Reed and other family members.
