
Col. Clinton was born in Leedey, OK on July 7, 1929 and came to Texas to attend Baylor University in Waco and Baylor College of Dentistry in Dallas. He and Wilma, a native Texan, met while she was attending Texas State College for Women in Denton and were married in 1952 during his sophomore year in dental school.
His Army career started with the Senior Dental Program in 1953 at Baylor and after graduation he interned at Madigan Army Hospital in Tacoma, Washington. Assignments included Verdun, France; West Point, NY; University of Pennsylvania; Walter Reed, D.C.; Tripler Hospital, Honolulu, HI; and Ft. Sam Houston where he retired in 1973.
He returned to his Alma Mater in Dallas to teach in the Oral Diagnosis-Oral Radiology Dept. and retired in 1984. After retiring from Dental School, they sold their home and all their "stuff" and lived full-time in a 33' then a 36' motor home for eleven years. Travels took them from Texas to Alaska and Mexico and most points in between. Clint was the M.C. for the Southwest Regional and International Holiday Rambler rallies and chairman of the Holiday Bazaar. He and Wilma were two of the organizers for the Fall Time Ramblers-Chapter 400. They moved to Air Force Village II in 1995 and participated in numerous Village activities. His hobbies included travel, reading, square dancing and computers.
Clint is survived by his loving wife, Wilma; son, Russell Warren Clinton and special friend, Tracy Packnett of Sarasota, FL; daughter, Elizabeth Ann Betsy and son-in-law Steven E. Ray of Bridgeport, TX; granddaughters, Crystal N. Ray and Autumn C. Ray of Dallas, TX., Delilah J. Ray and great-grandson, Kevin G. Ray-Taque of Bridgeport, TX; one cousin, Marion Judge Owen of Reydon, OK. He will be greatly missed by his family and many friends.
