Florence Elizabeth Pfeiffer

Florence Elizabeth Pfeiffer passed away on August 30, 2015 at the age of 91. She was born in San Antonio, Texas to Robert Neighbors and Emeline Camille Neighbors. As a member of Castle Hills Church, she practiced her passion for early childhood education, teaching Sunday School and kindergarten classes and later serving as Kindergarten Director. After retirement, she enjoyed hooking rugs, quilting, antiquing and traveling. She never met a stranger and was blessed with many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Margaret Neighbors Mallum. She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Melvin Pfeiffer; her daughter, Gaye Lynn Hodgson; son-in-law, Michael Paul Hodgson; granddaughter, Ria Camille Hodgson; sister-in-law, Lucille Elizabeth Montgomery and a wide circle of family and friends. The warmth of her loving spirit, her sense of humor and her beautiful smile, will be dearly missed. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Thursday, September 3, 2015, at Porter Loring Mortuary North.
