Freda Margaret Dehart passed away November 19, 2020, in San Antonio, Texas. Freda was born on March 17, 1936, in Sturgis, South Dakota to Cora and Richard Moeller. She grew up on a farm in South Dakota and really did walk in the snow to school and back home. She met Air Force SGT Wayne Dehart on a blind date and three months later they were married on February 16, 1957, in Rapid City, South Dakota. Being in the Air Force, they lived in Michigan, Hawaii, North Dakota, Alaska, Maryland and Texas.
Freda worked at Sears in Washington, DC and San Antonio, TX after all her children were in school. Freda and Wayne enjoyed retirement at their house at Canyon Lake, Texas. She truly enjoyed gardening and had several beautiful flower and vegetable gardens. Some seasons, she’d plant about 60 tomato plants and as the tomatoes ripened, she’d give away the majority of them. Everyone loved them! She also was an excellent seamstress sewing a lot of her clothes as well as her daughter’s clothes. And when it was time to travel, they went on 26 cruises.
Survivors include her husband, Wayne Dehart; her children, CeCe Jenkins (Robert) of San Antonio, Texas, Dave Dehart (Vicki) of Boise Idaho, Kent Dehart (Mary) of League City, Texas and Wayne Dehart Jr. (Michelle) of San Antonio, Texas; her grandchildren, Ryan Dehart of Portland, Oregon, Connor Dehart of San Antonio, Texas, Alex Jones (Greg) of Monrovia, California, her great-grandchild Micah Jones of Monrovia, California, her sister, Ethel Cordes (Henry) of Rapid City, South Dakota and her brother, Allen Moeller of Sturgis, South Dakota.
