He was born in Luling, Texas to Freeman and Dovie Thompson on January 30, 1929. Freeman served his country in the United States Army and as a civil servant at Kelly AFB for over 40 years.
In his early forties, Freeman became intensely interested in the study of the Bible and was known for committing numerous scriptures to memory. He joined an independent bible study group in San Antonio around 1973 and served in the capacity of an Elder until the decline of his health prohibited his ability to serve. Freeman was also beloved by numerous Bible Student groups in the United States and Canada and traveled extensively to serve Bible Student Conventions over a 30-year period up until 2014.
He was a loyal and devoted husband, father, and friend to his Bible Student brethren near and far, known simply as "Brother ALL." Freeman had a passionate and engaging personality that instantly endeared others to him. He was an avid Spurs fan, becoming one of the first season ticket holders for the franchise in 1973.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Lola Merle Thompson.
Freeman is survived by his beloved wife of 65 years, Geraldine Thompson and their daughter, Toni Thompson.
