As a child at age 4, his family moved from England to the US.
He proudly served in the US Army during WWII. Upon returning to Chicago, IL, he worked in the family business, Industrial Precision Products; relocated to Houston, TX and was employed with Schlumberger. In San Antonio, he owned and operated Carpet City for 42 years.
He was a member of Oak Hills Country Club and Dominion Country Club.
He will be deeply missed by his faithful employees of many years: Sergio Aranda, Lorenzo Herrera, Jose Casteanda and David Price.
George is survived by his beloved wife, Diane Hart Anders and loving daughter, Siobhain Anders Buckley and husband, Dr. Steve Buckley; grandchildren, Diandra Buckley and Ireland Buckley all of San Antonio; nieces, Roberta Krolick and Phyllis Jacob; nephews, Gary Anders and Dennis Anders, all of Chicago, IL.
