George Raymond Bonilla, age 56, passed away on Saturday, May 31, 2025, in San Antonio, Texas. He was born on April 16, 1969, in San Antonio, Texas, to parents, Jorge Bonilla-Valentin and Consuelo Alvarado.
He was preceded in death by his parents. George is survived by his sisters; Yolanda Bruce (James), Sylvia Hoffstrom (Gerald), and Georgina Bonilla-Khan (Ali); nephew, Douglas Hoffstrom (Stephanie); niece, Yasmin Mantravadi (Madhu); and great-niece, Isla.
George was a dedicated and generous individual who was always ready to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. An active member of his church community, he found joy in serving others and participating in bingo games that brought people together. As an electrician by trade, he took pride in his work. George’s kindness, warmth, and willingness to help others will be fondly remembered by all who knew him.
The family will receive friends beginning at 5:00 p.m. with a rosary at 6:00 p.m., on Tuesday, June 10, 2025, at Porter Loring Mortuary, 1101 McCullough Avenue, San Antonio, Texas.
Mass of the Resurrection will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, June 11, 2025, at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church, 617 South Santa Rosa, San Antonio, Texas.
Father Benjamin Romer will officiate. Interment will follow in San Fernando #2, 746 Castroville Road, San Antonio, Texas. Pallbearers will be Ali Khan, Douglas Hoffstrom, Madhu Mantravadi, P.J. Galvan, Arthur Acosta, Clemente Gonzales, Edward Gonzales, and Christian Pimental. James Bruce and Gerald Hoffstrom will serve as Honorary Pallbearers.
