

George B. Ramirez, Jr., age 80, passed away on Sunday, February 18, 2024, in San Antonio, Texas. George was born to parents, George B. Ramirez, Sr. and Jesusita Alvarez on October 3, 1943, in San Antonio, Texas.
At just 19 years old, George was called to serve his country and was ordered to selective service in the United States Army on July 18, 1963. His time in the armed forces was marked by courage, honor, and sacrifice. He served with distinction, rising through the ranks through sheer determination and exemplary leadership. Whether on the battlefield or in peacetime, he approached his duties with an unwavering sense of duty and dedication.
In addition to his military service, George was a devout Catholic whose faith was the cornerstone of his life. He found solace and strength in his religious beliefs, and his devotion to God guided him through life's trials and triumphs. He was a pillar of his parish, actively involved in church activities and known for his wisdom and unwavering support towards others. His wisdom, wit, and unwavering support will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
George leaves behind a legacy of honor, integrity, and selflessness. Though he may no longer walk among us, his spirit will continue to inspire and guide those whose lives he touched. May he rest in eternal peace, knowing that he served his country, his faith, and his family with unwavering devotion until his last breath.
He was preceded in death by his parents, George B. Ramirez, Sr. and Jesusita Alvarez. George is survived by his daughter, Veronica Ramirez; sons, George B. Ramirez III and Ramon G. Ramirez; along with numerous grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
