George W. Tharp entered into rest on July 6, 2012 in San Antonio, TX. He was born on February 17, 1926 in Gonzales, TX to Walter J. & Mayme P. Tharp. He is preceded in death by his wife Eva N. Tharp. Mr. Tharp is survived by his daughter, Debra Janell McCauley & husband Billy; 3 grandchildren, Bryan McCauley & wife Shannon, Keith McCauley, Laura Janell McCauley; 2 great-grandchildren, Aireal McCauley & Whitney McCauley; 3 sister, Bonnie York, Audrey Kurtz & Betty Tullis; 3 brothers, Walter, James, Larry Tharp; numerous nieces, nephews & other relatives. Visitation will be held Sunset Funeral Home Thursday, July, 12 at 5:00 to 7:00P.M. A Graveside Service will be held Friday, July 13, 2012 at Ft.
