Gerald (“Jerry”) Wayne Robinson, 78, of San Antonio Texas, passed away December 29, 2023. Jerry was born on February 1, 1945, in Powers Lake, North Dakota to parents Ellen Marie Erickson and Rexford Roscoe Robinson.
Jerry obtained a Bachelor of Arts & Science degree from North Dakota State University and received his Board of Pharmacy Certification for the State of North Dakota in March 1970. Jerry met the love of his life and married Patricia Ann Aller of Bismarck, ND in January of 1972. The vibrant and adventurous couple raised their family in Bismarck, ND and in Naperville, IL. After celebrating the Chicago Bears Super Bowl win in 1985, the family moved to San Antonio, Texas in 1986. Jerry continued his illustrious career and received his Board of Pharmacy Certification for the State of Texas and worked for decades at Albertsons and Costco as a pharmacist. Jerry never met a stranger and made friends with all his clients. He proudly consulted with a joyful disposition, a smile, and an infectious laugh.
The happy tandem loved to travel and explore beaches and historical towns across the world, always with Jerry’s detailed plan for each day. One of Jerry’s favorite vacation spots was Oahu, Hawaii. He and Pat travelled there several times. He was always happiest by the ocean and loved plants of all kinds and landscaping at their home. He was also an avid sports fan his entire life, recently enjoying a Houston Astros game for Father’s Day with his son.
The Robinson home was always full of music. Jerry’s love for music and the arts dates to his childhood where he played the trumpet and piano. The Eagles and the Beatles created the soundtrack for his life and travels, including his favorite song, ‘It’s Your World Now’ by The Eagles. Later in life, Jerry recharged his passion for playing his beloved piano, entertaining friends and family in the home, and participating in a recital for the Ramar Music Institute. Pat and Jerry attended many concerts and events over the years in the San Antonio area, including a recent Eagles concert. Jerry and Pat loved and supported the arts in many ways, including volunteering at the Majestic Theater as ushers.
Jerry Robinson was loved by many, and is survived by wife Patricia Ann Aller Robinson, son Michael Robinson of Austin, son Jeremy Robinson of Houston (Melissa Alwais), daughter Dionne Robinson of Houston, daughter Kristen Robinson (Kalani Del Rosario) of Pflugerville and granddaughter Kai Del Rosario of Pflugerville in addition to muchloved extended family and friends across the country.
