Gerardo was born in Dilley, TX and was known to his close friends and family as “Jerry”. He attended Edgewood High School where he met and later married his high school sweetheart, Betty Lee. He worked for Kelly AFB until his retirement.
Gerardo is preceded in death by his wife, his parents, three brothers, and two sisters. He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, two granddaughters and several nieces and nephews.
A brief visitation will be held at 9:00 am on Friday, July 12, 2024 at St. Paul Catholic Church, 350 Sutton Drive, San Antonio, Texas 78228; with a Funeral Mass to be celebrated at 10:00 am. Graveside services will immediately follow at San Fernando Cemetery #2. Arrangements are by Sunset Northwest Funeral Home.
Memorials may be given to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital or Susan G. Komen. The family of Gerardo wishes to extend our sincere gratitude to the wonderful staff at Comforts of Home Healthcare in Austin for their dedication to giving him the best care and comfort possible during his time
