Gerry Garcia

Gerry Garcia, born on January 10, 1966 was called home on August 17, 2016 at the age of 50. He is preceded in death by his father, Jorge E. Garcia and his grandparents. He is survived by his companion, Mary White; mother, Beatriz S. Garcia; children, Cassandra Garcia, Jerry Garcia Jr., Jeremy Caranza, Christian Caranza; 5 grandchildren; siblings, Delia Tobias (Frank), Georgina Riggs (Kirk), George Garcia (Gloria); nieces and nephews, Cathy Schweistfurth (Scott), Adrian Trujillo (Monica), Sarah Marsh (Levi), Angel Tobias, Frank Tobias III, Nicholas Tobias, Genevieve Tobias, as well as numerous aunts and uncles.

Gerry worked throughout his life as a security guard through Simon’s Security, including the Menger Hotel, Midnight Rodeo, Sherlock’s Pub, and various shopping malls in San Antonio. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

A visitation will be held on Monday, August 22, 2016 at Sunset Funeral Home from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a prayer service to begin at 7:00 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, August 23, 2016 at 11:30 a.m. at the funeral home with interment to follow in Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery.
