She was born August 19, 1936, in San Antonio, to Percy and Ruby Getchell.
Geraine married H.J Jim Callahan on March 2, 1957, in San Antonio.
She was an inspiration to many and a friend to all. After raising six children, Geraine obtained her bachelor's degree in 1984, from the University of The Incarnate Word.
She was a parishioner of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church and was active in the RCIA Program.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and two sisters, Geraldine Jenkins and Genevieve Judson.
Geraine is survived by her children, Cindy Pete Scalise, Carol Judson Killian, Jim Deanna Callahan, Tim Mary Beth Callahan, John Agnes Callahan, and Cathy Gary Barge; sisters, Genevla Moseley and Gwendolyn Turner; 16 grandchildren; and her constant companion of 14 years, "Chico", her toy fox terrier.
