Gil Garcia, age 54, passed away on Wednesday, February 14, 2007. He is survived by his brothers: Edward and wife, Gloria; nieces, Monika Cox and Nina Plummer; Mariano Garcia, Jr. and wife, Diana; nephews, Mariano III and Vicente A. Garcia; Joel and wife, Velma Soliz Garcia; nephews, Joel Jr. and Marcos A. Garcia.
Gil was a proud retired Navy veteran who loved to hunt and fish. Gil always assisted his neighbors and friends whenever asked. He was considered a beloved neighborhood uncle and was a Godparent to numerous children in the neighborhood. He was an avid collector of various rocks and unusual items he would find and considered as treasure.
He will be deeply missed.
