Gilbert R. Carrillo Sr.

Our beloved Gilbert R. Carrillo Sr. entered eternal rest on June 24, 2017 at the age of 62. A native of San Antonio, Texas, he was born to Paul Bueno Carrillo Jr. and Josephine (Pedraza) Carrillo on October 20, 1954; he now reunites with his mother, brother Raymond Carrillo, and granddaughters Lucy Rose and Lily Carrillo. He is survived by his father, wife of 41 years Diane Carrillo, daughter Valerie Denise Carrillo, son Gilbert R. Carrillo Jr, grandchildren, Michael Paul and Josie Faith Carrillo, brothers, Tommy (Dolores) Carrillo and Val (Rachel) Carrillo, and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives. Gilbert worked over 45 years as an auto body technician. He enjoyed staying busy with household maintenance such as keeping up with the yard and building things. Gilbert had a passion for dancing and country music, and not to forget to mention pressing his luck gambling in Las Vegas, Coushatta, or Kickapoo. On his down time, he enjoyed barbecues and fishing, but his most memorable times were spent with his family and loved ones. The family will received guests at the funeral home on Friday, June 30, 2017 at 4:00 p.m. with a Rosary at 7:00 p.m. Service will continue on Saturday, July 1, 2017 with a two-hour visitation from 8:00a.m. -10:00 a.m. at the funeral home and conclude with meeting at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, 13715 Riggs, at 12:00 p.m. for Mass of Resurrection.
