I knew Gilbert years ago through friends of his back in 1993.  Charles Keller Henry Washington Gilbert and Harold had lunch at Earl Abels.  Gilbert was all smiles and making jokes all the time.  I met Gilberts brothers Robert and Will and loved them all.  They were rough around the edges and loud but we all became friends.  I remember Gilbert had a son but didnt know him well.  Gilbert was a handsome guy loud and quick to temper but he had a big heart.  I miss him and Will and think alot of them.  Robert his brother is there in San Antonio and lost contact. To my Brother been close to 2 months and i still cant fathom the lose the big old goofy grin that would be on your face the wide eyed view of the world even though it was a mostly cold and harsh place to you the 67 hr journey to and from new york you however did acomplish your one major goal you finally found your heart she was the other half of your soul and keeps an eye for those you left for her to raise

I am quite surprised to learn of Andy's death. I have not seen him for many years---his family used to be neighbors of my grandmother, and we would sometimes play together. Later, he married another childhood friend of mine. They visited my parents once when I was living out of state, but I have lost touch with them. 
My condolences go out to the entire Medeiros family. This must be a shock to you all. 
And, if anyone knows how to get in touch with Pam, would you please let me know, or let her know I'm looking for her?
