Gilbert Gomez Quintero born on July 21, 2012 in San Antonio, TX went to be with the Lord on November 2, 2012 at the age 92 years. He was a World War II Army Veteran and served overseas in the European Theatre of Operations and Asiatic-Pacific Theatre with the 342nd Infantry. He was a member of the V.F.W. Post #8936. He is survived by his wife, Araceli Quintero; daughters and sons-in-law, Raquel Davila (Pedro), Linda Salinas (Jim Oviedo) and Sandra L. Herman (Eddie L.); grandchildren: Sonia Davila, Debra Harding, Natasha Salinas, Homer Salinas Jr. and Adam Q. Wilson; great grandchildren, Devon Davila, Lacy Davila, Alexia Solano, Nicholas Solano, Liliana Salinas, Gabriel Salinas, Eleesha and Marcos Rodriguez Visitation will be at Trevino Funeral Home, 226 Cupples Rd. from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Tuesday November 13, 2012 followed by a Prayer Service at 7:00 p.m. that same evening. Funeral Service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday November 14, 2012 in the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow in Fort Sam Houston Naitonal Cemtery.
