
Gregg P. Pat Easley, Jr., born in Caldwell, Texas on July 11, 1918, passed away, Tuesday, June, 19, 2001. Pat graduated from Texas A & M University in 1939. He served during World War II in the Infantry Division of the US Army and was stationed at Scofield Barracks in Hawaii at the time of the Pearl Harbor attack. Pat also served in the Pacific for approximately four years under General Douglas MacArthur and was the youngest Lieutenant under MacArthur. Later in his military career Pat was assigned to the Infantry School at Ft. Benning, Georgia. He separated from active duty in 1946 and was active in the Military Reserve until 1965, retiring as a Colonel. Pat was employed by IDS American Express Financial Advisor from 1955 to present. He took great pride in his IDS clients and associates. Preceded in death by his son, Robert Clay Bob Easley; wife, Margaret; and brother, James Harris Easley. Pat is survived by his present wife, Lola; brother, Dan; his son, John Patrick Easley and his wife, Mary Lou; granddaughter, Mary Beth Easley Stone and her husband, Doug Stone; grandson, Patrick Judson Easley; stepchildren include Bill Graham, Rick Graham, Craig Graham, Susie Graham, their spouses and children. The family would like to thank the doctors, nurses, and the staff of Southwest Methodist Hospital and especially those on the 7th floor MICU and 10 South, and the staff at LifeCare Hospitals.
Pallbearers will be Barry Bibb, Dan Clark, Ronald Burns, Robert Steidel, Guy Accera and Billy Buford. Interment in Sunset Memorial Park.
