Born on August 8, 1993, in Okinawa, Japan, Gregory was the oldest of five children born to Greg and Yukimi Rodriguez. He grew up with his two younger brothers, Joshua and Gabriel, and two younger sisters, Maricella and Alicia, forming a close-knit and loving family.
As a proud military child, Gregory spent his youth traveling the world. He lived in Okinawa, England, Arizona, and Hawaii—each place shaping his vibrant, adventurous spirit. At every stop along the way, Gregory made quick friends with his warm personality and magnetic energy. He especially loved the island life and thrived in the outdoors, always seeking new trails and challenges. Whether drifting cars through the hills of Okinawa with his friends, hiking high up in the mountains of Arizona, or relaxing on the beaches in Hawaii, Gregory found peace and purpose in the freedom of those moments.
Gregory attended the University of Arizona from 2012 to 2014, and in February 2024, he proudly welcomed his daughter, Vera Nalani Rodriguez—his greatest joy and source of pride.
Throughout his life, Gregory always had something he was passionate about and loved to lead the charge. He knew exactly where he was headed and had the natural ability to bring everyone along for the ride, inspiring those around him with his vision and determination. As the eldest sibling, he was a natural leader for his brothers and sisters, who all looked up to him with admiration and respect.
He began his professional career with the Army and Air Force Exchange Service (AAFES) in Hawaii, where his work ethic, dedication, and leadership quickly earned him multiple promotions. Gregory was eventually selected to serve as a team supervisor at AAFES Headquarters in Dallas, Texas.
Gregory will be remembered for his warmth, his deep love for his family, and the genuine way he connected with everyone he met. He loved backyard BBQs, family gatherings, and time spent with friends and coworkers. A proud fan of the Dallas Cowboys and Texas Rangers, Gregory enjoyed catching games in Arlington and sharing those moments with those he loved.
He leaves behind a legacy of kindness, loyalty, and love—and most importantly, his beautiful daughter Vera, who will carry his spirit forward.
Rest in peace in the arms of our Savior, Greg—and until we meet again.
The family will receive friends from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m., Thursday, June 19, 2025, at Porter Loring Mortuary West, with a service to follow at 1:00 p.m.
