Guadalupe Rojas

Mary loved her family and enjoyed her nursing career of 30 years at Methodist Hospital in the oncology and telemetry units and then as a case manager. She did not know any strangers and was very willing to always help anyone in need. She had been a member of St. Pius X parish where she had been a Eucharist Minister. Because of her ministry, she also made visits to the Methodist Specialty & Transplant Hospital. She was a member of St. Mark the Evangelist Catholic Church. She was active in the ACTS program.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Anita Gutierrez, brothers, Albert Jr. and Andrew.

She is survived by her husband of 43 years, Roberto Rojas; father, Albert; daughters, Angela and Barbara; grandchildren, Michael, Alexis and Kristiana; sister, Daisy; and, half-brother, Albert Jr.; many cousins, nieces and nephews.

A Rosary will be held at Porter Loring North on Sunday, October 31, 2010, at 6 p.m.

Funeral Mass will be held at St. Mark the Evangelist Church on Monday, November 1, 2010 at 10 a.m.

Interment will follow in Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to The American Cancer Society, 8115 Datapoint Dr., San Antonio, TX 78229.

The pall bearers will be: Joe Rosales, Michael Parks, Albert Gutierrez Jr., Daniel Leal, Robert Vargas, and Edward Mata.
