Guadalupe Ugarte

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Guadalupe “Pita” Ugarte, who departed this life on May 23, 2025 at the age of 72. Her spirit was anything but limited. She brought joy, laughter, and unconditional love to all who were lucky enough to know her. Guadalupe had a unique zest for life and found happiness in the simplest pleasures. Her day wasn't complete without her cherished cup of coffee. She had a deep love for Superman and old western movies, which she would watch and listen with wonder. Her creativity knew no bounds. She could spend hours cutting her magazines, shaping colorful clay dough with her hands, and listening to her favorite music that always brought a smile to her face. To know Guadalupe was to know a gentle soul who expressed love not in grand gestures but in quiet presence, joyful laughter, and a warm hand to hold. She will be deeply missed by her loving family, devoted caregivers, and all who shared in her world, especially her sisters. Though she has left us, her spirit and memories remain—forever vivid in the songs she loved, the movies she watched, and the many hearts she touched.

She is preceded in death by her father, Jose R. Ugarte and sister, Ruth Ugarte. She is survived by her mother, Josefina H. Ugarte, siblings: Joe Ugarte (Annie), Terry Fierros (Guadalupe), Janie Howard (Odell), Ruben Ugarte, Edward Ugarte, Richard Ugarte (Catherine), Rachel Ugarte, Albert Ugarte (Lisa), Corina Ugarte, Clara McCarrell (Russell), Mary Esther Martinez (Gustavo), numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A celebration of Guadalupe’s life will be held on Friday, June 6, 2025 at Trevino Funeral Home, 2525 Palo Alto Rd. San Antonio TX 78211 with a rosary being recited at 7:00PM. Funeral Service will be held.

Rest in peace, sweet Pita. Your light will always shine in our hearts until we meet again.

A visitation for Guadalupe will be held Friday, June 6, 2025 from 5:00 PM to 10:00 PM at Trevino Funeral Home, 2525 Palo Alto Rd, San Antonio, TX 78211 with a prayer service at 7:00 PM. A funeral service will occur Saturday, June 7, 2025 at 10:00 AM, 2525 Palo Alto Rd, San Antonio, TX 78211 with interment to follow at San Isidro Cemetery, Macdona, TX 78054.
