Mrs. Masterson was born in Kittanning, PA on April 28, 1923. She was raised in Chester, W. VA and graduated from Chester High School, Class of 1941.
She continued her education by attending Allegheny General Hospital School of Nursing graduating in 1944. In March of 1945 she entered the Army Nurse Corp. and served in the Philippines, Japan and Korea leaving the service as a Captain in 1955.
Mrs. Masterson graduated from Incarnate Word College in 1965 with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing.
She married Ted Masterson on September 11, 1954 in San Antonio.
She enjoyed her career and retired in 1985 from the San Antonio Independent School District as a school nurse.
She is survived by her husband, Ted Masterson of San Antonio; daughter, Kathe of Houston, TX; and many nephews and nieces.
