Harry E. Lander passed away on January 7, 2004 at the age of 71. He was a notable football figure since the mid -1950's in San Antonio and Central Texas. He was very well respected in the sport of football as a coach and mentor of many successful coaches and players.
He was the athletic director of the Cornerstone Warriors. He was working and talking football up until his death. He will be deeply missed by his family, coaches and players who affectionately called him "Pap Paw".
Harry is survived by his wife of over 30 years, Bettye Lander; his sons, Rich Lander, David Lander and Blane Cagle; his daughters, Lenee Lander, Kim Spiess and Tammy Schoenert along with 14 grandchildren, and 2 great-grandchildren.
