Helen was born in San Antonio, Texas to William and Ida Robinson, the eighth of nine children. She lived a long, great life. She was the first female engineer for Southwestern Bell, was active in her church as their historian, sang in the choir, participated in the Emmaus community and served on many different committees. Helen loved life and her family and friends. She was a blessing to those that knew her.
She is survived by her two sons, Glyn and Guy (Andi); 7 grandchildren, Michele (George), Ed (Marilyn), Tony, Adam, Brad, Jared (Rachael) and Cody; 9 great-grandchildren, Eban, Gage, Ashley, Logan, Trinity, Kenneth, Caleb, Andrew and Declan; sister, Elizabeth Sauer and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Glyn Reeves and Hubert Barrows, her parents, seven of her siblings and daughter-in-law, Martha.
A celebration of Helen’s life will be held on Friday, August 4th at 10:30 am at First Methodist Church, 205 James Street, Boerne, Texas 78006. A Reception is to follow in the Fellowship Hall. In lieu of flowers, Helen asked that donations be made to the memorial fund of First United Methodist Church in Boerne, Texas.
