Helen Mae McCormick

Helen Mae McCormick, age 89 received her promotion to Heaven on Sunday, November 12, 2023 in Schertz, Texas, seven short weeks after her husband James E. McCormick received his promotion to Heaven. Helen was born on June 1, 1934 in Des Moines, Iowa to Cecil Anderson and Earl Jones. Helen and her husband will be celebrating their 69th wedding anniversary in Heaven on December 11, 2023. Helen was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She proudly served in the U.S. Navy, in the medical corp and where she met her husband. She was an accepting, kind, encouraging and giving woman who used her skills and talents to give comfort and joy to others. Helen was preceded in death by her parents; husband, James E. McCormick; and her sons, Dempsey Ray McCormick and Mark Edward McCormick. Helen is survived by her brother, Robert Jones; daughter, Barbarann McCormick; and grandsons, Joshua Isaiah McCormick and James Stratton McCormick.

The family will receive friends at 5:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 28 , 2023, at Porter Loring Mortuary North.
