Helen May Pai

She moved to Ithaca, New York, where she married Francis Pai. They were married for forty years. Helen enjoyed a career in the Finance and Accounting Department at Cornell University in Ithaca. Students came to her for assistance in finding jobs on campus and for getting paid. Everyone loved her. She was affectionately known the "Pay Lady".

Helen was kind, generous, and a leader who shared her talents with many people and organizations. She donated a lot of her time and energy to St. Paul's Methodist Church where she ushered each Sunday, participated in a small group and served as historian. She served as president of the local chapter of the League of Women Voters. Helen loved to travel and belonged to a travel club. She traveled to many countries throughout Europe and Latin America.

She is survived by her daughter, Candace Sansone; two stepsons, David and Gary Pai; and three grandsons, Gregory Sansone, Matthew Sansone and Timothy Sansone.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:30 p.m., Friday, November 22, 2013, at Porter Loring Mortuary North.
