You have been the most beautiful angel from heaven on earth, very devoted, most loving, most supportive, caring mother, grandmother, wife, sister, daughter, aunt, friend that God gave to us. You have been the most precious person always willing to lend a hand, willing to give anything anyone needed, just loving everyone anytime through any trial, very genuine, the most genuine person I have ever met. Your smile, your love spread like wildfire and everyone felt it. Mommy, God called you home, because He wanted you in heaven to do everything you did on earth. Your sweetness, kindness, loving, caring hands, heart, soul will be dearly missed here on earth, but I know you are looking down, taking care of us even right now as a guardian angel on earth. Knowing that your mother, father, brother, cousins, niece, nephew, friends in heaven can hold you and be with you when we're not able to brings me comfort. I know you have missed them so much and you have been reunited with them once again. So for now, Mommy, my dearest, sweet Mommy and Grandma to my children, it's not goodbye. It's see you later, my beautiful mother, grandma to my children. Miss you and Love you always.
Your Daughter,
Cindy
Helen Putman was delightfully born to Herminia and Jose Canedo on
March 13, 1932. She lived a beautiful childhood. She stayed home to take care of her mother, Herminia, when she became very sick at a young age in life and held her hand until she went to be with the Lord. Several years later, she met a man, Jerry Putman and married him. She gave birth to me, Cynthia Putman, her only daughter and became the most wonderful mother anyone could ever have. My mother worked at Winn's Store for a time. She became a dedicated worker at Bowden Elementary School and became a second mother to many children here. As a very dedicated and loving parent, she always attended every school function and meeting. Some years went by and she became a very dedicated worker at Fox Tech High School. There are so many children that she has talked to, taught, consoled, loved, became a second mother to at Fox Tech High School for twenty-two years. She has been a very devout Catholic attending St. Patrick's Catholic Church, attending mass every Sunday, attending all of the functions at the church, and was a member of the church choir. My mother has been a beautiful, loving, wonderful, faithful wife to her surviving husband, Jerry Putman for 46 years. Mommy always did anything and everything for her surviving sisters, Guadalupe and Esperanza. She took care of her nephews and niece growing up and gave them so much love. She loved each and every one of her friends so much and they loved her too.
When my four children, Christopher, Timothy, Noah, and Caleb were born, my mother did everything she could to help me with anything we needed. She was a true, wonderful, God-sent grandmother and mother. There was nothing she wouldn't do for them. She always did anything to make her grandchildren laugh, from silly faces, funny jokes, carrying them on her shoulders, running and playing with them to going everywhere and anywhere with them teaching them about life and about God. My children will remember the prayers she taught them. She gave my children all of the love and affection a child could receive from a grandmother. My children are eternally thankful for all of the beauty of heaven on earth she has truly blessed them with. This will stay with them always.
My mother loved her beautiful flowers, all plants. Her biggest hobby was planting flowers in her garden. They truly loved her too, because they bloomed so beautifully for her. Everyone complimented her on her green thumb. Now, she can plant the biggest garden in heaven and pick a beautiful rose from heaven and give to us.
My mother loved to spend time with all members of the family. She shared all of the beautiful memories that have been made over the years. She loved getting together to eat and talk with all of her cousins and just laugh during all of these good times. These memories are truly cherished.
To all of my mother's friends and family who have known her throughout the years, she loved all of you, truly, truly. She shared many memories that will last a lifetime. Thank you for being her friend. I know that you loved her too, because you tell me how much of a truly, one-of-a kind, true, genuine, loving, caring, dedicated, awesome person she was. You have also shared the many stories she has told you about the boys and me. You have told me how proud and excited she was about us all of the time. All of my friends have also commented on how wonderful my mom's and my relationship was and how much her love, affection, dedication, and beautiful existence was so apparent. I am truly thankful that our love as a mother and daughter blessed you.
My mother, Helen Putman, a true angel from heaven on earth, went to be with God on March 15, 2012. She was so brave and strong to fight a month and a half battle with pneumonia and other complications.
