A lifelong resident of San Antonio, he was a graduate of Holy Cross High School and a 1971 graduate of St. Mary's University.
He served in the U.S. Army from 1971 to 1974. Mr. Torres worked for Data Point for thirteen years and for Dell from 1989 to 2000. He loved to travel.
He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Sylvia B. Torres; mother, Agripina T. Torres; sisters and brothers, Consuelo T. Guerra Alex, Hector Torres, Lucy T. Hernandez Greg, Javier Torres Mary, Marta T. Hernandez Joe, Daniel Torres Janie, Jose Luis Torres Teresa, and Carmela T. Villanueva Felipe; and numerous nieces and nephews.
