Herlinda Salas Galvan

Herlinda Salas Galvan, born on November 10, 1936, was called home to be with our Lord on January 11, 2017 at the age of 80. Mrs. Galvan is preceded in death by her husband, Lorenzo C. Galvan. She leaves behind to cherish her memory her 8 children and their spouses: Gerardo Galvan (Josie), Javier Galvan (Bernice), Rosalinda Castro (Carlos), David Chavez, Raquel C. Ibarra (Jerry), Raúl Chávez, Rudy Chávez, and Sylvia Medel; Numerous grandchildren, Great Grandchildren, and Great Great-Grandchildren; Sister, Socorro Salas, and Brother, Nazario Salas Garcia.

Herlinda was a devout and devoted Jehovah’s Witness and avidly practiced her faith. She was a very kind hearted woman who showed love and compassion to all she met but especially loved being around children. Her hobbies included sewing and crocheting.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 19, 2017 at 5:00p.m., with a prayer service at 7:00p.m at Trevino Funeral Home, 2525 Palo Alto Rd, San Antonio, Texas. Funeral services will be on Friday, January 20, 2017 at Trevino Funeral Home. Committal service will follow at San Fernando Cemetery II, 746 Castroville Rd.
