Doctor Howard Richard Rose, 96, of San Antonio, Texas, passed away on Saturday, September 2, 2023, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on July 10, 1927, in Marshall, Texas to Robert Raymond Rose and Cynthia Bradley.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Myrtis LaVerne Hood Rose; his parents and his four siblings: Marion (Jack) Rose, Leonard Rose, Helen Rose Tubbs, and James (Jim) Rose. He is survived by children, Teresa LaVerne Rose Carlson (Chris), Dr. Mark Richard Rose (Renee); Grandchildren, Christopher Carlson Jr. (Crystal), Kyle Carlson (Lindsey), Lance Dean (Jayden); Great Grandchildren, Christine Wittman (Taylor), Elijah Carlson, Madeline Carlson, Collin Carlson, Jude Carlson, Spencer Carlson, Rex Carlson, and Remy Dean.
Dr. Rose was a caring loving person. He graduated from LSU Medical School in 1961 then he started a family practice where he served many patients then finally retiring from the field on 1998. Dr. Rose was a loving father, grandfather and great- grandfather who will be greatly missed.
