

Irving Dubrin passed away on Sunday, November 25, 2001. Irving was born July 16, 1915 in Chicago, IL, son of Phillip and Rose Dubrin. He moved to San Antonio in 1964. Irv was a Manufacturing Engineer, having attended the Illinois Institute of Technology in Chicago. He was the Manufacturing Manager for LTV when their plant opened in San Antonio providing training for low-income workers and he was associated with the San Francisco Steak House in systems development. Irv was later a self-employed management consultant for many San Antonio companies. After retirement, Irv mentored and tutored grammar school students for ten years through the San Antonio Jewish Coalition for Literacy Program. He was member of B'nai B'rith, a Hadassah Associate and a member of Agudas Achim Synagogue for many years. Irv loved classical music, world travel, and the study of science Astronomy and Physics. He and Marilyn were avid square dancers for 15 years. Irv is survived by his wife Marilyn; daughters, Susan Becker, Golden, CO., and Ilene Dubrin, Las Vegas, Nevada; sons, Sheldon Ira Becker, Boulder, CO., and the late Bernard Dubrin; and grandson, David Dubrin, Las Vegas, Nevada. He was a friend to all who knew him and loved by all. He will be sorely missed.
