Jacinta Leyva

Jacinta Leyva, age 87, of Somerset, Texas passed away on Saturday, March 15, 2025. She was born in San Antonio TX to parents Domingo Areullo and Guadalupe Gonzales. Jacinta was known for her deep appreciation of nature, particularly her love for butterflies and roses. She often found peace in the delicate wings of butterflies, seeing them as a symbol of transformation and beauty.

She is preceded in death by her husband , Francisco Leyva, son, Larry Leyva, 2 brothers, 2 sisters,and her parents.

Jacinta is survived by her children, Gilbert Leyva, Sylvia Leyva, Sammy (Norma)Leyva, Daniel Leyva (Joy-Ann), MaryHelen Campos, numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and friends.

Pallbearers will be; Gilbert DeHoyos, Frank Leyva, Joey Campos, Rodney Leyva, Jessica Navarrette, Stephanie Minor, Jennifer Leyva and Erika Heredia.

A visitation for Jacinta will be held Friday, March 21, 2025 from 5:00 PM to 10:00 PM at Trevino Funeral Home, 2525 Palo Alto Rd, San Antonio, TX 7821, with a rosary at 7:00 PM. Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, March 22, 2025 at 10:00 AM at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 19711 N Dixon St, Somerset, TX 78069 with interment to follow at St. Patrick's Catholic Cemetery, Somerset, Somerset, TX 78069.
