Jackie L. Green

Jackie was born on December 1, 1933, in Alpine, Texas. She was a long-time resident of Del Rio, Texas, and it was there, she met and married her husband of 55 years, Jack Green. She was a dedicated employee of Val Verde Regional Medical Center for two decades, yet her favorite role was the one she played in her family. She adored her three sons, Roger, Walter (“Bott”), and Jack Russell, and was a devoted, humble, and selfless grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, sister-in-law, and aunt.

She is preceded in death by her parents, F.Y. and Edith Slover; her husband, Jack R. Green; her son, Roger Green; and her grandson, Aaron Green.

She is survived by her sons, Bott Green and his wife, Lori, and Jack Russell Green; daughter in law, Karol Green; grandchildren, Kacy Green Hassack and her husband Brad; Jake Green; Josh Green and his wife Amy; and Journey Bergseng and her husband David; brothers, Rahe and Freddy Slover; great-grandchildren, Gus Green, Turner Hassack, Liam Green, Perry Green, Abbott Hassack, Aidan Green, Lyra Green, and Raelynn Green; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Services will be held at Porter Loring Mortuary North Chapel on June 27, 2023, at 12:00 pm. Visitation will be held prior to the service, at 11:00 am. Porter Loring Mortuary North, 2102 N. Loop 1604 East, San Antonio, Texas.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to the Alzheimer's Association.
