James Harold Boehler

James Harold Boehler, a proud veteran of the Army, was called to the Lord on Friday, August 25, 2023 at the age of 82. He was born on October 27, 1940 in McAllen, Texas and is preceded in death by his parents, James Robert Boehler and Florence Nora Boehler (Huey).

While stationed at Fort Sam Houston, he met the love of his life, Sharon Vorak, and they were married on March 12, 1963 in Tacoma, Washington. “60 years of memories and marriage we took care of each other” and remained devoted to one another until James’ passing. James dedicated his life to family and service to his Country, retiring from the Army and continuing a career in Civil Service.

He is survived by his loving wife, Sharon Yvonne Boehler (Vorak); children, Linda (Dale) Rumsey and Karen (Stacey) Moore; grandchildren, Shelby (Chris) Herrera, Benjamin Moore and Austin (Amanda) Rumsey; great grandchild, Case Herrera, as well as numerous family and friends. James will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

There will be a 10:45 a.m. Graveside service on Monday, October 2, 2023 at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery, 1520 Harry Wurzbach Rd., San Antonio, TX 78209.
