James Marvin Boring passed away Sunday, September 22, 2002, at the age of 89. Marvin was born November 28, 1912 in Zwolle, LA and lived most of his life in San Antonio. He was preceded in death by his wife, Olga Mae Boring and his son-in-law, Donald L. Smith. He is survived by his children, Barbara Ann Smith, Mary Jane and Ed Briggs, and Jim and Joyce Boring; his grandchildren, Clint and Rhea Smith, Tom and Liz Rock, Roger and Colleen Briggs, Laney Smith, Mike and Andrea Boring, Cara West and Jeanette Boring. He is also survived by his great grandchildren, Katy and Rachel Smith, Lucas Rock, Cheyenne and Chantry West, Elyse and Ethan Briggs and many other relatives and friends. Marvin was known as a master mechanic, loved hunting and fishing, was an avid bowler and loved his motorcycle.
