James William Deal of San Antonio, Texas passed away October 20, 2014 after a sudden illness. James was born in Casper, Wyoming on January 20, 1953. He is preceded in death by parents Rodney and Juanita. James is survived by his wife Lynn, son Donald Rodney, daughter Melissa, grandsons Jayden and Jorden, sisters Vicki, Sherry, Becky, and Jennifer, and as well as many nieces and nephews. James attended Pearsall High School and then to the University of Texas at Austin. He settled in San Antonio where he followed in his father’s footsteps and began a career in home building. James then worked for D.R. Horton where he became a respected and trusted member in the organization. He loved cooking and provided extensive and memorable feasts for the Deal Family Christmas celebrations. James will be missed sorely by all who knew him. Donation may be sent to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. A celebration of life will be held at 13900 Blakeville in Live Oak on Saturday October 25, 2014, beginning at 1:00 and continuing throughout the afternoon.
