He was such a great guy, rich in character and warmth. I heard so many stories about Sarah that I feel I know her myself. 

I am one of the people that Jim sold on the dehydrator. And Liquid Smoke! And Vietnamese cinnamon! 

I sold him on the apple peeler :) ...payback.

Whenever I brought my kids to work he offered them sugar - without fail - much to my dismay but my suspicion is that he rather enjoyed it :)

He was obviously a very loving father and husband.

I was so sad to hear about Jim and am so sorry for your loss. I met Jim the very first day that I moved to San Antonio and he took me under his wing and became a dear friend. One of the things that I know we will all remember about Jim is his love for EVERYTHING that he did. He passionately loved his family, his girls Cindy and Sarah, his amazing stained glass artistry, his clowning, his work with the Shriners, his SBC/ATT family and the list goes on and on. There is nothing that Jim did without love and gusto and a smile on his face. I hadn't seen Jim in many years, but working with him was one of my favorite things about working in San Antonio. 'The Montalvo family continues to try to process the loss of Mr. Jim (as Baby Angels call him). Jim and I had become really good friends over the years. He performed, dressed up as Curly the Clown, and made balloon animals at a couple of Baby Angels parties. They preferred to see Curly without his clown makeup.

Mr. Jim is one of the kindest friends and hard-working guys at AT&T. He would make it known if he felt you were slacking, lol. He is most certainly dedicated to his family, wife, daughter, work, and anything he set his mind to. We shared the love of crocheting, knitting, and jerky, although he is way more talented than I could ever grow up to be. 

Our family will always treasure our friendship and his kindness. Our deepest condolences to the Ford family. He is a gem, a great husband, loving father, son, brother, uncle, and to us here at AT&T dedicated and outstanding co-worker and friend. 'Jim was one of the great ones, he would always pick on you, (you knew he liked you if he did) he was caring and understanding and make you laugh when you needed it. Although I'm in CA and had not had a chance to meet him min person I do consider him a great friend. He was just that kind of guy. We would talk and often get off topic of work and I got to know his family though his stories. we shared the same interests like camping and hiking. we would share recipes and talk about the great adventures we had over the weekend or vacation time and how he loved to go into the woods to relax. The next time he was to come to CA for work he was going to take some extra days so we could meet I'm so sad that I will never have the pleasure of meeting him face to face, but I will treasure the talks we had. He was one of the best project managers I had the pleasure to work with, My heart and prayers go out to your whole family Jim, I know you are looking down on them with a smile and making Heaven laugh. YOU WILL BE MISSED!'

'I'm sad that I never had the pleasure to meet Jim face to face, but I've worked with him for about 8 years, which is half my AT&T career. He's been a great friend, a wonderful mentor, and the "other" class clown on the team I'm on.
