Just found out about James's passing. I worked with James at Kelly. He was a sweet coworker that took me under his wing, mentoring me.  It was always a pleasure talking to him, he loved to talk!  My deepest condolences to Pat and Justin, and the rest of the family. 

I knew James when we were in our early teens and he and his mother lived on wildwood st. His brother had a motorcycle. Our paths crossed again at Kelly when they were investigating the b 52 fire. We shared a friend in Wayne Epley. Both great guys

Patsy/Justin - Marty, Paige and myself think of you and James  so often.  James gave us so many good laughs and those times we will cherish and always be thankful that GOD made our paths cross.  James would do anything for anybody and that is what made him so special.  You can never forget his love for animals either.  James  earned his wings and will forever watch over you.  May he rest in peace.  Much love, hugs and prayers to you all during this very hard journey. 

Growing up, my parents would take my brother and I to hear Uncle JC's band "The Music Masters" play.  To this day, every time I hear Roy Orbison's Pretty Woman, I think of my uncle and those times as a child.  Great man, who loved God, enjoyed life and family with a darn good sense of humor.  Now you can sing for Jesus! 

James, my father in law. The first day I met you was the first day I met your son. I loved your sense of humor which is a lot  like my own dad. I will miss riding on the golf cart with you, and watching you hold your grand babies. I loved seeing how much you truly loved all of us. You could always see it in your eyes.  Anytime I see a goose or duck I will always think of you. Now, heaven has gained an Angel and we know you will be watching over all of us. Love you!

Our condolences  to the family during this time. Everyday won’t be the same without our neighborhood, golf cart Riding , lovely neighbor. He was such a free spirit , Such a wonderful grandfather too . His love he had for the kids was so eminent, it shined through.

My deepest condolences to the Gobar family for your loss.  I worked for Mr. James Gobar  for many years when Kelly AFB was operational.  Pee Wee as we all knew him was a good man and it was a privilege and honor to have worked with him and known him.  Pee Wee was a good supervisor,   family man,  and a decent person.  I was very sad to hear of his passing and he will be missed by all.  RIP James "Pee Wee" Gobar.  

My deepest condolences to Pat, Justin and the family. Kallison Ranch will never be the same without Mr. Gobar, I hope he continúes to watch over this amazing community. May He  Rest in Eternal Peace.

Just a note to remember James and Patsy’s long marriage as an example of love. At this time I’m thinking of my dear friend Patsy and her family. Patsy’s brother coached my son in HS football. He was a great example for for him and many.  This connection to her family is remembered with much appreciation. I wasn’t close to James but feel the loss through my special friend Patsy.  I hope to stay connected to this member of the 1964 Edison family. God Bless them all

Our deepest condolences to Patsy and Justin and all of James's family,  We have known James for many years.  He was more like a family relative than a friend,  James had a wonderful career but he was also a drummer in a country music band,  We utilized James musical skill on many occasions playing music on our driveway.  Wonderful memories.  He will be surely missed,

There are so many wonderful memories. Being in their wedding and have them attending our wedding and then dropping by the hotel that night. Visiting in San Antonio, Pat & James visiting us. James holding Justin as a very young baby, and telling jack he needed one of these. He will be missed.

Have known James for some 60 years.  Have always enjoyed his sense of humor and candor.  May the family know that our mere words can not ease the loss they are now feeling, but that with time they will be left with only the good memories of a lifetime well spent as a man, a husband, a father, a grandfather and a friend.  RIP in the hands of God!!

I have always dreaded the day when I have to face this earth without you here with me. That day had finally come. I still look for you in and around the house. I still believe you are gonna come around the corner on your golf cart. Still waiting for that good morning call or text. It hurts knowing I won’t have any of that any longer. The blessing in disguise is that you aren’t in pain any longer and you are now always by my side wherever I go. I know one day we will meet again, but until then please watch over us all. Give the family a big hug and kiss while you’re up there. I am so grateful that you got to hold each of your grandchildren before it was your time to go. Know that I will take care of Mom and my family here on out just like you did when you were here with us. I love you with all of my heart Dad!! - Justin
